Emma’s Story
Emma’s passion for food was born in the 1980s, when she took chefing classes whilst studying hospitality at Ealing College, part of the University of West London. Once qualified, she worked in marketing for international hotels in London. Emma’s passion however was always food – eventually she took off the business suit and put on her chef ’s whites. In London she cooked for a myriad of events, large and small.
Arriving in Sydney, Australia in the late 80s, Emma cooked for a varied audience including politicians, royalty and celebrities. Her keen interest in health saw her combine healthy, wholesome food into her work where possible, taking advantage of the beautiful and abundant produce of Australia.
In 2007 she made the decision to turn this interest in nutrition into her full-time profession, hanging up the chef ’s whites and undertaking full-time study, qualifying with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition).
Now residing in England, Emma works alongside doctors who are also passionate about women's health, especially in perimenopause and menopause.
Her interest in women’s health - hormone changes in reproductive years through to menopause - has meant that women receive the very latest evidenced-based care. This is something Emma is very passionate about.
What excites Emma is taking the science of nutrition, and all the healing it can bring about, and making this real for people by weaving this knowledge-based approach into her delicious recipes. She calls this healing in a proactive way, where Emma’s clients can trust her knowledge and actually eat the advice!
Emma is also a realist, she acknowledges that day to day living may lead to her clients feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, unable to cook as nutritious a meal as she would like - so Emma might also recommend a therapeutic supplement.
